  The old Columbia Cemetery is a Texas Historical Cemetery were several early settlers of Texas and heroes of the Texas Revolution are interred. West Columbia was the First Capitol of the Republic of Texas where the first full-time, non-provisional, President and Legislators were elected and sworn in.
  This beautiful cemetery with it majestic oak trees and historical monuments is in the center of town. Visitors come from far and near to pay their respects, research ancestors, and enjoy serenity found here.
